In short: we use no analytics, no ad trackers and no accounts, and we set no cookies of our own. Our host Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address to deliver and protect the site. Your games run in your browser and your progress is saved only on your own device.
1. Who is responsible

2. Hosting
The site is delivered by Cloudflare, Inc. (101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). To deliver pages and protect against attacks, Cloudflare necessarily processes your IP address, the time, the requested page, referrer and browser type. To tell people from bots, Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary security cookie (__cf_bm, 30 minutes; § 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG). Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (secure, reliable operation). We keep no log files ourselves. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (Art. 45 GDPR) and bound by a data processing agreement. See the Cloudflare privacy policy.
3. No analytics, no ad trackers
ChessDays itself sets no cookies and uses no analytics, tracking, social plugins or advertising. The chess engine, your games, fonts, sounds and images all run or load from this site only; nothing is sent to third parties. Links to other sites (e.g. GitHub) are plain links that share nothing until you click them.
4. What is saved on your device

These entries stay in your browser and are never sent to us or anyone else. They're strictly necessary for the features you use (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG), so no consent is needed. Clearing your browser's site data deletes them and resets your progress.
5. Contact by email
If you email us, we use your address and message only to reply (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) and delete them once your request is dealt with, unless tax or commercial law requires us to keep them.
6. Your rights
You may request access (Art. 15), correction (Art. 16), deletion (Art. 17), restriction (Art. 18) and portability (Art. 20) of your data, and object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21), by writing to the email above.
